Each Kaya Mawa room is unlike any of our other rooms. And no room anywhere else, is like a Kaya room.

Deftly molded into the island boulders, the chalets take our guest’s breath away.

Every ‘standard’ room at Kaya features something a little bit unique and something very special. There are peaceful decks for sunbathing and romantic dinners, secluded chalets with private al fresco lounges and lake entrances and outdoors baths and showers.

‘Standard’ indeed.

We feature a premium room that boasts 180° views down the lake and across to Mozambique, highlighting three split-level decks and a plunge pool with seating for two. Leading out from the bedroom is the bathroom and a loo… with a view.

Fantasize of staying on your own island? At one of our ‘premium’ chalets, you make your way across the wooden bridge and find yourself at Makengulu. Covered in bougainvillea, this stunning room leads out on to a wooden deck and jetty over the lake with striking views to Mozambique.
